The Muni Update
Good Morning,

This past week our staff was able to apply our scheduled September fertilizer applications on the tees, fairways, green surrounds, and most of the rough on the south end of the golf course. This was completed on Thursday morning and the nightly irrigation cycles have mowed the fertilizer prills down near the crown of the turfgrass. This will provide adequate nutrients to the plant until our next application in May of 2026.
Irrigation programs have been running nightly to keep all irrigated areas looking great and in high quality playing conditions. We have continued to adjust the rotation of some of our green and green surround heads. This helps prevent overlap and standing water in some areas. We have also been replacing fairway sprinklers that are not performing at a high level. Overall, everything is working pretty well considering we didn't use the system very much in June through mid August.
Staff has been busy trying to get the remainder of our tee signs cleaned and painted. This is a long process but it helps brighten up all of the tee signs and allows them to stand out the same as when they were new 25 years ago. We have about six holes left to complete and we hope to have those finished by the end of the coming week.

We were finally able to start working on our landscaping renovation over the past week. We have rented a landscaping vacuum to remove all of the river rock and other debris from all of the landscaping areas. Staff has completed approximately 11 of the landscaping areas by the tee boxes. Even with the vacuum there is a lot of manual labor involved with breaking up the compacted rock and mulch in these beds.
The landscaping areas look great once all of this debris is removed down to the existing weed barrier. This coming week we plan to have the remainder of our landscaping areas completely cleaned, including the waterfall behind #10 green.

Once we have finished cleaning all of these areas we will start removing the existing plant materials and move some of them to open spaces around the clubhouse and the waterfall landscaping areas. We will also straighten out the existing landscaping blocks and rock walls of the waterfall area.

Staff will be adding black soil into the existing beds to slope them from the back toward the front so we have quality soil to add the new landscaping plants in the Spring of 2025. We will also be adding sod around these areas to eliminate the bare ground around each one of the beds. It's very exciting to see the progress as we move forward with this project.

Currently we are offering our fall rate season pass special. This includes the purchase of your 2026 season pass and you play the remainder of the 2025 golf season for no additional cost. Tomorrow we start our fall green fee special as well. All day golf with rental cart included for $35. There is still a lot of great golf weather for everyone to enjoy this Fall.

Enjoy the remainder of this beautiful weekend. Please reach out if there are questions or you would like additional information on any topic at the golf course.
