The Muni Update
Good Morning,

We hosted our annual two gal triple treat golf event this past Tuesday with a record setting 80 ladies participating. I would like to thank the members of the Tuesday morning and evening ladies leagues for making this event so successful. They prepared so many different food options for the golfers, organized flag prizes, and helped with the registration process. Thank you to all the ladies for making this event so successful. Thankfully the thunderstorm held off until after everyone had finished lunch.
This upcoming week we will be hosting the Stateline Seniors early Monday morning. This will be tee times starting at 7:30 AM. On Friday we will be hosting the Chamber of Commerce golf outing with lunch before the golf and a shotgun start around noon. Saturday we will be hosting an outing for Iowa Lakes Regional Water with a shotgun start on the back nine at 9:00 AM. There will be open golf available after these events are completed or they have finished teeing off on number one with the last group. Please contact the clubhouse for tee times and available golf.

Our golf greens have been improving nicely after the winter damage. Staff has continued to add bentgrass plugs in some of the larger damaged areas of the greens. We have also done hand topdressing in other areas of the greens. The golf greens still need more time to completely fill in but I'm very happy with the progress to date. This will be an ongoing maintenance priority until we get them back to 100%.
The grounds crew had a very busy week trying to keep up with all our maintenance practices after multiple days of rainfall totaling close to two inches for all days. They did a great job having everything in beautiful shape and ready for the weekend.
These past few days we have really been trying to promote hydration with all of the golfers stopping at The Muni. Today could end up being the hottest day of the year so please make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and stay in the shade as possible. If you start to feel light headed, dizzy, or nauseous it could be the early signs of heat stress. Please keep an eye out for others and yourself during the triple digit day.
This coming week we will be working on our project list that was shared in last week's update. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend and please feel free to get in touch with me if you have questions or would like further information on a topic. Swing easy when it's breezy!
