It was another busy week at The Muni with numerous events and open golf. Most of our golf leagues are nearing the end of their seasons and should wrap up in the next couple of weeks.

Recent event highlights include:
– Wednesday: We hosted the Spencer Media Group’s People’s Choice Awards from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the second consecutive year.
– Thursday: Spencer High School hosted its annual cross country meet.
– Friday, August 28th: The police department held its annual golf event.
– Saturday: Vanderhaag’s hosted an employee golf outing.

The People’s Choice Awards had a wonderful turnout, recognizing many local businesses with gold or silver awards. The Muni was honored to receive the gold medallion award for golf course. We are incredibly appreciative of everyone who chooses to play at The Muni.
Tomorrow morning, we will host the senior ladies for a 9:00 AM shotgun start on all 18 holes. This event will conclude late morning and the ladies will have their luncheon in the clubhouse.
There are no other events scheduled through the Labor Day weekend. We anticipate being very busy with open golf every day. Please contact the clubhouse or visit our website to reserve a tee time online.
The golf course has been in great shape this golf season. Staff has been working hard each week to prepare the grounds for everyone who chooses to spend their recreational time with us at The Muni!. On September 1, we will start our 2027 season pass special. By paying your 2027 fees you can play the remainder of the 2026 golf season and all of next year.
