Good Morning, This past week I toured the golf course to check on turfgrass conditions. The greens are in pretty nice shape right now. Some of the higher spots on several of the greens are starting to dry out a little bit. Green grass is present near the crown of the plant on every hole. We really need to have some precipitation this coming week, otherwise I will need to start watering the high areas. #6 Green Close Up 2-9-2026.jpeg

 #6 Green 2-9-2026.jpegThe Muni driving range opened yesterday and will be open again today, allowing golfers to practice in February. There was a good turnout of golfers yesterday and we anticipate another busy day today. The driving range will remain open tomorrow and Tuesday but will close for the remainder of the week.

 #3 Green 2-9-2026.jpegThe warm weather allowed Woodall Tree Service to remove some of the large stumps around the golf course. Four amur maple stumps were removed from the old landscaping areas behind #18 green and near #2 tees. A couple of large ash stumps were also removed on #18 and behind #1 tees. We will clean up the debris later.
